Matthew came to C&S with a bold vision for his newly built home. He wanted the landscape to feel like a western mountain resort, with natural textures, layered plantings, and outdoor spaces that felt like a getaway without leaving home.

The finished project brought that vision to life with a landscape designed for both character and ease of care. Flowing beds of evergreens, flowering shrubs, and perennials wrap the home, anchored by focal-point trees and a dry creek bed that emulates a natural stream.

Boulder outcroppings, a stone pillar with post lighting, and landscape lighting add warmth and definition throughout the property. In the backyard, a raised flagstone patio supported by sandstone boulders creates a natural gathering space, complete with a barnstone fire pit and gas log starter.

Washed gravel finishes the space with a clean, low-maintenance approach that supports the rustic style while making the property easier to enjoy.
